Cottondale Elementary has app. 465 students in kindergarten through 5th grades. Our student population is 80% majority and 20% minority. We are designated as a Title I school meaning that we receive federal dollars in support of our academic programs. We have 33 classrooms, a library and a multi-purpose activity building. Our mascot is the cougar and the school color is kelly green. We have a total of 58 faculty and staff members.
Our PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is a very active support group for our school and they provide resources that allow us to enrich our academic offerings as well as provide for needed campus improvements. B. F. Goodrich is our Adopt-A-School partner and is by far, the best in the state! Our B.F. Goodrich friends are in and out of our building frequently throughout the year working to help us meet the needs of our children.
Cottondale Elementary is a true community school. Our physical location places us within a neighborhood setting. As part of the Holt School Zone, students transition to Davis-Emerson Middle School for grades 6-8 and onto Holt High School for grades 9-12.
